Keep site supply counts current

Lightweight site inventory records items, units, counts, par and reorder context, storage location, ownership, and movement reasons. It provides visibility for manager decisions; it is not warehouse or procurement software.

  1. 1Open Commercial and select the site inventory view.
  2. 2Add or open the supply item and review its unit, par, reorder, target, and storage fields.
  3. 3Record a count with the current quantity, reason, and supported count time.
  4. 4Record supported usage, waste, or same-location transfer with an explicit reason.
  5. 5Create a supply request when the team decides replenishment is needed.
TidyOps does not automatically send replenishment alerts, place orders, or manage warehouse stock from site par levels.

How do I avoid mixing counts with receipts?

Record what the selected movement means: a count reflects observed stock, while usage, waste, and transfers need their own reason.

For example, count six unopened containers using the item’s configured unit rather than recording the same delivery twice. Review par, reorder, and target context before deciding whether replenishment is needed. A transfer should identify the supported destination and explain why stock moved.

What are the limits of this workflow?

Site counts are not warehouse purchasing records. Do not infer that a par value automatically buys stock; use the supported supply-request workflow for the replenishment decision.
