Track lead and customer referral sources
A referral source is an intake label describing how a lead or customer found the cleaning company.

Keep acquisition sources consistent
Referral sources are intake labels, not an automated referral program. Administrators can manage the source list from Leads, staff can select a source during lead intake, and customer records can store and filter by referral source.
- 1Open Leads. If you are an administrator, choose Manage Sources to add or update the available referral-source labels.
- 2When creating or updating a lead, select the matching source. Use Other only when the available labels do not fit.
- 3Open Customers to review or update the referral source stored on a customer record.
- 4Use the referral-source filter on Customers when you need to inspect a specific acquisition segment.
How do I keep referral-source records comparable?
Use stable source labels and select the same label for the same channel instead of creating spelling variants.
For example, use one Word of mouth label for customer recommendations instead of separate Word-of-mouth and Friend labels unless the business deliberately distinguishes them. Administrators maintain source choices from Leads; authorized staff record the matching source and can inspect customer segments with filters.
What are the limits of this workflow?
A source label is not proof of attribution, campaign effectiveness, or a payable referral reward. Unknown sources should remain unknown rather than being assigned to the most popular channel.
